Monthly Verse

Check back each month for a new verse!

February 2024
“Nothing is covered up, that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark, shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms, shall be proclaimed on the housetop.” Luke 12:2-3 ESV

I read this to my son the other day. I also told him that he should memorize this verse and keep it in his heart to tell his friends when they tell him something they might be doing wrong and trying to keep it a secret. God knows all! He sees all. No need to hide anything from Him. It WILL come out in the open. PS, I didn’t seek this verse out for him or anything like that, it was in my daily reading and I decided to use it as a teaching tool. :) But isn’t it also so good for us?! A good reminder that we shouldn’t live our lives in secret places, trying to hide things when God already knows it all. I want to encourage us all this month (including me) to live a life free of secrets or hidden things. Allow God to be the center of all we do. When we do this, we won’t want to hide a single thing from Him or those around us. In fact, we will want to shout God’s goodness from the mountaintop. :) God bless.

In case you missed last month's verse...

January 2024
“And the Lord answered me: ‘Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it, for still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end, it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:2-3 ESV

You’ve also heard the verse in the Bible that talks about when we don’t have a vision, the people perish. Make a goal this month! It can anything from life goals, work goals, family goals, church goals, etc. But in everything you do, strive to be better at it this month. I’m speaking to myself as well. There are things I need to get my butt in gear with and complete! This is the month. I encourage you to write a goal and a notecard and attach it to your mirror. Look at it each day until it’s fulfilled. Don’t give up on those dreams. God bless. Happy New Year.

About Holly

I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I lived for 28 years. I had the wonderful privilege of being raised in a Christian home. My Mom and Dad started attending Westbank Revival Center Church when I was a baby and I continued attending as an adult. I remember starting to sing in the church worship team at about age 14 when I originally joined to play bass guitar. I began to feel the call God had on my life at the age of 21 when I became the lead worshiper of the worship team. I led worship until September 2005, when my husband’s job transferred us to Fort Worth, Texas. At first, the thought of leaving my home town was hard, but as I began seeing where God was taking my husband and me, I knew the Lord had a great plan for our lives and the change would help mature and develop us as Christians. We loved living in Texas, enjoyed the home we lived in, and loved the church (Aledo Christian Center) that God led us to attend. From there, God took us to Pensacola, Florida, where we found Transformation Church. Words cannot express how much we fell in love with this church! If you want to experience God's presence like never before, visit transformationchurch.com.

Prior to our move to Texas, I taught private piano lessons in our home in Terrytown, Louisiana, and at our church, Glory Church, in Terrytown, Louisiana. I also taught private lessons and group classes at Loyola University Preparatory Department twice a week. This is also the University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Piano Pedagogy in 2001.

On April 24, 2004, I married the love of my life. My husband, Martin, is a very important part of my life and ministry. He helps and supports me with many decisions that need to be made in this ministry. Martin retired in the Fall of 2015 as a member of the United States Navy, serving 20 years. We are so proud of him. :) Martin and I have been blessed with two wonderful children that we adopted in 2010.

Thank you so much for visiting the site, and my prayer is that you learn each and every day, how to experience “More of His Presence.”
